The Falcon and the Lion

The Falcon soared gracefully through the sky, left only with his serene thoughts of tranquility and peace. The Falcon was known and the uncontested king of the sky. No one dared to challenge his ferocity and speed. But there was a jealous Lion, king of the land. He could not stand that there was any animal that could stand above him, he wanted to be the king of kings and one day challenged Falcon to a fight to the death. “Falcon!” Lion roared. “Let us end this battle for the supreme throne! And Let me prove once and for all that I am the true king of all animals!” Falcon glided absentmindedly towards Lion, “I care not for your ambitions. I warn you now, if you leave you can keep your life, but if you remain here I shall slay you where you stand for disturbing me,” Falcon said. Lion roared in fury and pounced at Falcon, who easily avoided his claws. Lion clawed and clawed but was not swift enough to land single blow on Falcon. “I warned you!” Falcon asserted, ascending higher into the sky. Then Falcon began to plunge to the ground and swiped at Lion every time he flew above him. Soon Lion lay on the ground, crimson blood staining his one magnificent mane. At the sight of this Falcon landed next to him and began to devour his decomposing corpse, and thus became king of the land and sky. The moral of the story is only the strongest survive.
