Final Reflection
I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I have spent in creative writing. It is a very relaxed class, well suited for creative minds. I will preserve many of my writings for future observations. I will continue to write in my free time just for the pure pleasure of it. I wish the best for your class Mrs. Dowling and thank you for all the help throughout the school year.
Betrayal
Crimson tears stain my cheeks
My face an obsolete mask of dismay
You stabbed me with a knife
But your words cut deeper
The Falcon and the Lion
The Falcon soared gracefully through the sky, left only with his serene thoughts of tranquility and peace. The Falcon was known and the uncontested king of the sky. No one dared to challenge his ferocity and speed. But there was a jealous Lion, king of the land. He could not stand that there was any animal that could stand above him, he wanted to be the king of kings and one day challenged Falcon to a fight to the death.
“Falcon!” Lion roared. “Let us end this battle for the supreme throne! And Let me prove once and for all that I am the true king of all animals!”
Falcon glided absentmindedly towards Lion, “I care not for your ambitions. I warn you now, if you leave you can keep your life, but if you remain here I shall slay you where you stand for disturbing me,” Falcon said.
Lion roared in fury and pounced at Falcon, who easily avoided his claws. Lion clawed and clawed but was not swift enough to land single blow on Falcon.
“I warned you!” Falcon asserted, ascending higher into the sky. Then Falcon began to plunge to the ground and swiped at Lion every time he flew above him. Soon Lion lay on the ground, crimson blood staining his one magnificent mane. At the sight of this Falcon landed next to him and began to devour his decomposing corpse, and thus became king of the land and sky.
The moral of the story is only the strongest survive.
Twilight
"This is the world we live in, where demons wear the mask's of angels and assimilate within the confines of our society, spreading their corrupt beliefs, destroying the lives of countless innocents, and yet they avoid divine judgement, escape the plunge to they icy depths of hell, for there is no God"
Tragedy
"Tragedy has befallen them yet again,
Throwing them into the lion's den,
The bane of love is malady,
Separating them from their destiny"

Reflection
I liked the poetry section of this part of the year. It was simple and interesting, just my style. The coffee house was also a new experience as well.
Angel Dust
Within the crater lay a magnificent creature. It was in the shape of a man but its skin was the color of silver. He seemed weak and thin, as if he hadn't eaten in days. I saw what seemed to be a fragment of the end of a trident deeply embedded in his stomach. A strange blue fluid seeped flowingly from the wound. He had one silver wing attached to its side, the other seemed to of been severed off. His hair was long and lustrous, and was as white as newly fallen snow. He was dressed in white robes that seemed to shimmer in the moonlight. In the center of his robes was an extravagant symbol of a cross placed within a halo. On his fingers were many rings, an amazing assortment of beautiful gems and gold, making his already bright silver hands seem even more dazzling. He was breathing heavily and appeared to be in great pain. I could hear him moan in distress. Then he cocked his head toward me and gazed upon me. His eyes were the color of the azure sky, and were equally as immense. His face was sullen from grief. I tensed up because of his stare.
Is that an angel? They exist?
“Can you see me mortal?” the angel moaned softly.
I froze, not certain of how I should respond. In realization that I was wasting time , I took a deep breath and bravely stepped forward. “ Yes, I can see you,” I said trying to exert confidence through my voice.
The angel began violently coughing, more of the strange blue liquid came flying out of his mouth. After he stopped coughing and stabilized himself he rambled, “How can this be? Humans should not be able to look upon us angels. What is your name boy?”
I hesitated before answering, “I am Asura Rain, What's your name? And what happened to you, if you don't mind me asking.”
The angel began laughing then replied. “Asura? Interesting, that might explain some things. I am the angel Amitiel. As for why I am in this predicament, it is because I have been forsaken. I have gone against God. And in turn he has struck me down and threw me here so I can wither away in the world of mortals.”
Why did he think my name was so funny?Wait what?! There's a God?! Crap! Well maybe he doesn't know I'm an atheist. Dang it Charles Darwin and Richard Dawkins! Why must your arguments make so much sense?!
I regained my composure from my momentary deviation from the situation at hand then asked, “What did you do to be punished?”
“I found the truth.”
“What truth?” I stuttered becoming even more interested.
“The truth must be sought, I will not just hand it to you. This is a cruel world, where we have all been deceived. Nothing is as it seems.”
“But can't you tell me a bit more?” I questioned hoping to get more information out of the dying angel.
The angel turned its attention away from me and gazed up at the stars and absentmindedly said “So this world has stars as well?” Then once again he began coughing the blue liquid, this time covering his mouth with his hand.
What?
“Shouldn't you know that? I thought God created everything? Something like stars shouldn't be a surprise to you, and is that blue stuff your blood,” I inquired.
“Yes this is my “sanguis” the blood of divine beings,” Amitiel said completely ignoring my first question. “We are very different from humans, we look similar but do not assume that our bodies work in the same manner.” He hissed looking at me with a condescending glare.
“I guess it's a pretty big insult to be compared to a human.”
He answered, “ It would be like comparing a lake to an ocean, the difference is substantial.”
Well jeez, aren't you full of yourself? Wait! What was he talking about when he meant the truth? Crap, he completely changed the subject.
“Wait, What do you mean by the truth?” I blurted disregarding being courteous at this point in our conversation.
“Would you want to know even if it meant giving up all that you have? Never being able to go back to your life as it is now ever again? You chose to live the rest of your life aware of the unmerciful truth, then live in blissful ignorance? ”
I have nothing to lose, what do I have? Nothing. Of course I want this!
I quickly replied “Yes.”
The angel looked back upon me again, his expression different from the previous despairing one, he almost seemed interested. “Then come before me Asura Rain! And hurry! I do not have much time left in this world!” He barked.
I started cautiously walking over to him, startling myself when I accidentally stepped on a fallen branch which made a loud crackling sound. I got over the temporary shock and moved forward until I was face to face with the angel. Amitiel had risen and gotten out of the crater. He stood still and peered into my eyes again. I tensed up, this time because of fear and anticipation.
“I hope you do not regret this choice one day, You shall face many hardships filled with suffering and grief. But it will all be in search of the truth.” After saying this Amitiel's eyes began to burn brighter and brighter. I could not turn away from his enticing eyes, until finally I was blinded by the light that equaled the intensity of the scorching sun. I began to fade, fade out of consciousness.
What's....What's going on?
The last thing I heard was, “I have given you the tools to find the truth, now search for it.” After hearing that I faded to black.
I later awoke beside the crater, Amitiel was no where to be found. Where he once stood was a pile of ash, slowly beginning to wane due to the light breeze. I got up from the cold ground and looked around. I could see nothing but the trees and bushes. I was dizzy and my head ached. I felt alone, and worse than that I felt the same as I always have.
Nothing happened, I'm still the same. I don't feel any different than usual.
I started shuffling back towards the road through the forest, being overly cautious. I carefully moved aside branches, preventing them from swatting me in the face. I finally made it out of the forest and started running back home.
Well I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or excited. I mean that was amazing, I met an angel! But, I have nothing to show for it.
When I got back to the house, I turned over the door map and picked up the hidden key our mom left there for emergencies and quietly entered the house. I took my shoes off and threw them into the closet, then went to the kitchen and poured myself a glass of milk. While I was taking a sip I glanced towards the clock that hung over the stove which read “1:12 AM.” I was so shocked that I started chocking on the milk. I carefully cleared out my throat, and poured the rest of the milk down sink drain.
It's so late! Mom's going to kill me in the morning!
Exhausted and mad I began trudging towards my room. I was too tired to take a shower so I went into the bathroom and turned on the water. I let the water run awhile to let it heat up. When I thought the temperature was right I splashed it on my face, wiping away the sweat and grime. I wiped myself dry with my Spongebob towel and tip toed silently into my room, careful not to wake anyone. I stripped out of my dirty clothes and put on some fresh ones, then jumped into bed. As soon as I cocooned myself in my blanket, I fell asleep.
